Japan has changed a lot in the last 10 years. There used to be as many (9)gas stations as (5)convenience stores in (3)my neighborhood. Now there is only 1 gas station nearby, but there are 5 convenience stores in 5-minute walk of our house. Another change is the number of new bicycle stores around Nagoya. The Titanic sank 100 years ago on April 14. About 1500 (11)passengers lost their lives when the ship (7)hit an iceberg on its first voyage from England to New York. UNESCO has decided that the ship, which is 4000 meters under the water, will be (13)protected as a (6)cultural treasure ("bunka isan"). No one will be allowed to take or destroy any part of the ship. There are thousands of other ships under the water that UNESCO wants to protect, too.
