I was riding my motor scooter back home last Friday. There was a city bus in front of me turning left at a T-junction. I passed the bus as soon as it turned, but just then another scooter came between me and the bus. I almost hit it. At the next light, I pulled up next to the rider and said, "That was very dangerous." He turned and said "I know" in an unfriendly voice. I was surprised to see his face. Neither of us was Japanese. 6. Thanks for your answering the questions!

Yes, I agree with you that he was surprised because neither of them was Japanese. I think he lives in Japan and assumed the other rider was Japanese.

Here comes MY question: Did he talk to the rider in Japanese, and got a reply in Japanese, too? I imagine both of them must be good Japanese speakers! What do you think?

After reading your responses, I came up with another question: Why did the rider did this dangerous thing? Was he in such a hurry? Was he too tired?
