Doll Festival - Girls' Day



Doll Festival is just around the corner, and this gorgeous set of Hina dolls are displayed in the university library. I've been working here for 5 years but I didn't notice the Hina Doll display before! Is this the first time? Or I just didn't go to the library this time of year. Maybe.

Well I'm not particularly interested in Japanese traditional events, but it's interesting to see these dolls arranged on the altar. Why do they (we?) do this?
